Nightmare On Elm Street – Movie Review

This movie is a cult classic for me. I broke my neck to go see this movie when I was a kid, and I just had to see the remake of it. I have to tell you – I was not disappointed. This movie was a bit different from the original, but not in the way of the loose plot. Child molester gets killed by parents of the kids he hurt. He comes back and attacks the kids in their dreams. I jumped, got scared, and nearly ripped my husband's arm off from the suspense.

The reason I enjoyed this horror flick more than the other movies like it (ie. Friday 13th) is because Freddy was horrifyingly funny. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case with this updated version. This updated version had better special effects, acting and story. I give it a 3 out of 5 stars simply because the plot is simplistic and the Freddy didn’t have the same lure as the previous version.

EEK--even the trailers for the original traumatized me as a kid, lol! But I'm glad you liked it! :D
