Timur BekmambetovI have to admit to having a really long standing vampire obsession. Not to the point where I could write about them, but to the point where I love watching Vampire based movie. However, this movie far exceeded my expectations. Unlike a purely action based vampire flix, this had good character building and a decent albeit barely believable story. It was better than the average quality of most vampire films. And these vamps didn't sparkle. They could walk in daylight, only turn those who didn't have a pure heart, and couldn't directly kill each other. Now Abe, he kicked butt, took names and realized he couldn't battle them alone. There are some twist and turns in this movie that surprised me, there was suspense, lots of action and some mild humor. So if you like your vamps mean and killers then check this out at 4 out of 5 fangs.
