SNITCH Movie Review

Forgive My Beating Heart! The Rock! Yes, The Rock is in another movie. And I *His #1 crush* had to just go see it. I dragged my husband kicking and screaming with me to see....da...da...da

SNITCH

What is it about? A son who makes a stupid mistake. A father who wasn't there for his son, due to a divorce of the mom. And what drove a father to fight for his son's freedom....

Look at that face? He's got that 'worried and determined' father look down packed!

Movie Blurb (Fandango): In the fast-paced action thriller SNITCH, Dwayne Johnson stars as a father whose teenage son is wrongly accused of a drug distribution crime and is looking at a mandatory minimum prison sentence of 10 years. Desperate and determined to rescue his son at all costs, he makes a deal with the U.S. attorney to work as an undercover informant and infiltrate a drug cartel on a dangerous mission -- risking everything, including his family and his own life.

My Review: Well of course I'm a bit bias. But I gotta tell you, this really surprised me. The story had depth, the acting was really good. I'm serious, The Rock, showed that he could 'act' in this movie. He didn't just look all hot, handsome, and Rockish. He exuded the 'worried / determined' father who wasn't a bada** unless he was forced to be to survive. I actually teared up with the few exchanges between him and his son. And my dear hubby even said he thought it was pretty good. So we both gave it a 4 out of 5 trucks.

The Rock is one of my favorite actors. So glad to see he's in a new (action) film!

Glad you enjoyed this one! It sounds like even though you dragged your husband he liked it, too! :)

I'm not an action movie lover, but this sounds like it has a great plot. Father/son stories are hard to find.

I will watch it when it comes out on DVD!

Yes this is definately worth seeing. My DVD redbox list is growing to this year. It didn't have as much action as his other movies though.

Solid review man. It's a good movie, but not perfect. However, thanks to the cast it's worth the trip.
